On-going activities include a toddler playground, family sized sandbox, rock stacking, free balloons with Becki the Balloon Lady, a huge wooden play arc and more! Our “family tent” offers a semi-private area for changing diapers, feeding little ones, etc.

We have a dedicated stage with performances by and for kids of all ages. Some this years performers include Allison Keys, Carbon Jam, Miss Behavin, Molasses Creek and drumSTRONG.

Join us on Saturday 3:15 – 3:45 pm for our annual PEACE PARADE! Bring your own costumes and instruments or borrow from our stash to join Becki the Balloon Lady, Jugglers, Puppets, Stilt Walkers and musicians, as we parade around the FloydFest site. |
Each year includes several scheduled “workshops” for kids, including Art workshops with Katherine Devine and a 3 day TaekwonDo Clinic. Don’t miss our TaekwonDo instructor break a concrete block on Sunday! |
 Have the kids pack their gitfiddle and sign up for on Open Mic slot, throughout the weekend. Or borrow a drum and drum along with drumSTRONG Kids Drumming Workshop. Plus, dress-up tent, tether ball and lots more fun stuff. |

*Bumps, Bruises, and Boo-Boos Tent*

New to the Universe this year is our Bumps, Bruises, and Boo-Boos tent. This tent is geared specifically to the younger crowd, where no plain bandaid will do. The BBB tent will be staffed with medical professionals to aid in minor first aid needs. Whether your little one needs a bandaid for a scrape, sunblock, or just a cool drink of water and a place to take a break, the BBB tent has you covered. Conveniently located in the Children’s Universe, the BBB tent will be providing safety bands for our young festival goers, free of charge.
Hours of operation: Wednesday 3p-6p, Thursday 2p-6p, Friday & Saturday 9a-6p, Sunday 9a-2p.
ATTENTION PARENTS!
Childcare available again this year in the CU! Want to catch a special music set with your partner? Need a few minutes alone in the beer garden without the kids? Take advantage of the childcare service in the Children’s Universe. Back by popular demand, limited childcare will be available again this year. Reservations are made at the festival in the CU Info Booth. Available on a first come, first served basis.

- $8.00 per hour
- Reservations, check-in, drop-off and pick-up are all located inside the Children’s Universe at our INFORMATION booth.
- 1 staff member per 3 kids maximum
- Maximum capacity: 12 kids a one time – first come first serve strategy used – reservations will be accepted starting on Thursday
- Babysitting 12-8 Thursday- Saturday and 12-4 on Sunday.

Do you make a special craft or creation? We encourage you to set up a free “vending” space in the CU.

A few guidelines for the CU Bazaar & Salon
- All items at CU Bazaar must be handmade & sold by you for $5.00 or less – (no candy, food or store bought items)
- Children sign up at the Children’s Universe during selling times! Space is FREE!
- Children may share a space
- No “items” may be sold at the CU Salon space, only services may be provided.
