When do VIPs arrive?

VIP purchasers may arrive a full day early! Gates open to you at 12 noon on Wednesday, July 24th. Attendees with VIP tickets, may enter the site for set-up an entire day in advance! All VIPs must check-in at CHARLIE Lot prior to parking onsite.  You will NOT be allowed to drive into the site without the proper credentials – please CONTACT US in advance if you have any questions.

What’s up with the new-and-improved check-in process?

We have initiated a new drive-through check-in just for you at CHARLIE Lot! No need to park and wait in lines.  This speedy and efficient check-in process is designed to streamline getting you in and on your way, in other words… Let the good times roll! (Laissez les bons temps rouler)!

Well, you can get set up and get comfortable with no anxieties about missing anything.  At noon you can enjoy the shaded beauty of our Pink Floyd Beer and Wine Garden.  Start your FloydFest the right way with an exclusive show featuring past years’ On-the-Rise winners!  Food and beverage will be available for purchase from our top culinary vendors.

When does backstage catering begin?

Backstage catering and complimentary beverages service begins Thursday at 11 AM.

Where do VIPs park?

VIP parking is conveniently located on a first-come, first-served basis in the VIP lot near the front gate. (Once on site, you’ll be directed to your parking area). Please remember you must check in and receive credentials at the CHARLIE Lot before proceeding to the festival site. Directions for CHARLIE Lot here.

Where do VIPs camp?

The charm of Appalachian VIP camping is in our wooded backstage area, central to the Main Stage, catering, and the amenities that make the VIP experience more convenient and more fun!! We have ‘VIP hospitality shuttles’ that will pick you up at your car, and assist you with your gear and finding a comfortable spot backstage.

What’s for dinner?

Our long-time friends Professional Catering, out of Maine, will serve two gourmet meals per day.  There are plenty of options for both omnivores and herbivores!

What are the meal hours?

For your convenience, our meal hours stretch from 11 AM-4 PM, and then from 5 PM-9 PM.  Catering begins Thursday at 11 AM and ends Sunday night at 8 PM.

What’s the skinny on adult beverages?

There is a variety of microbrews on tap from Breckenridge, Lagunitas, FootHills, and Starr Hill, plus wine and sangria from Chateau Morrisette. This diverse selection is served backstage and included in your ticket price! Non-alcoholic drinks are plentiful as well.

Will there be coffee in the morning?

Rise and Shine coffee lovers! Local coffee roasters Red Rooster serve some of the best complimentary equal-exchange coffee around.

Is there space for on-stage seating?

Our roomy Dreaming Creek Main Stage accommodates 40 VIPs during a set, with space available for each of our shows unless Artists request otherwise. Stage seating is limited to one consecutive set, and the stage is cleared after each to extend the opportunity to others. Occasionally an artist will mandate that the stage be clear for his/her performance, and when this happens on-stage seating will temporarily close.

Can we stay and camp onsite Sunday night?

VIP patrons have access to the after-party, and may camp on Sunday night.  You must exit the festival site by Monday at 12 noon.

Wow, what else?

Swag Bags brimming with goodies; Including Kleen Kanteen stainless commemorative beverage cups, mini schedule, complimentary coupon for a 20-minute massage from the staff and friends of The Blue Ridge School of Massage.  Also take advantage of our ‘Free Fun Photo’ booth where you (and those you can con into it) can dress up and get a picture taken and printed onsite- it’s a great take-home memory!

I have purchased a VIP ticket, if I leave, can I bring a different vehicle and still park onsite?

NO – parking passes are NOT TRANSFERABLE! (In fact, they’re stickers, for this very purpose.) Once assigned, they are only valid for the vehicle they were originally designated for.
